At Friesz Family Dentistry we have a staff that cares for you and your family with a warm atmosphere, individual attention, and a small-business feel. We have one dentist, so you will always know who you are working with, which will ideally minimize the anxiety that may come from a dental appointment. Dr. Friesz
Dr. Friesz and his wife, DeeDee, grew up in Mandan, North Dakota. They both attended the same high school and through the years have raised two wonderful children, Jazmyn and Nevin.
When I look back now, I believe I always wanted to care for the health of people and never hesitated in the direction I was pointed during college. I gained my bachelor degree from the University of North Dakota and during that time learned a great deal about many sectors of the health care profession. Ultimately I was led into dentistry through my wife. She had attained her dental assisting credentials early on and through her contacts, I began to understand the tremendous care provided by dentists. Moreover, I saw the close relationships they had forged with their patients and that really finalized my career path.” – Dr. Jason Friesz
In 2002, Dr. Friesz graduated with his DDS degree from the University of Minnesota and began his search for the right place for his family to call home. St. Cloud seemed perfect from the start. Everyone has welcomed them so warmly and they have enjoyed all the recreation the St. Cloud area has to offer.

Sarah
Sarah is a licensed dental hygienist with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry and a graduate of St. Cloud Technical College, where she earned her Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Dental Hygiene. She brings over 20 years of experience in the dental field, beginning her career as a dental assistant before returning to school to pursue dental hygiene.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys traveling, spending time with her two children and their dog, reading, and binge-watching her favorite shows.
Theresa
Theresa is a licensed dental assistant who graduated from Hennepin Technical College and is licensed with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry. Theresa joined the Friesz Family Dentistry team in the fall of 2013. Theresa is married with two sons. She enjoys watching her sons sporting events, as well as spending time on the lake with friends.
Leah
Leah joined Friesz Family Dentistry in January 2014. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree from St. Cloud Technical and Community College in 2012 and is licensed with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry. Leah is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their dental care.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at home, and nurturing her new love of gardening.
Melanie
Melanie graduated from Hennepin Technical College with an AAS Degree in Dental Assisting. She enjoys creating a positive experience for patients and supporting their dental care needs. She has been with Friesz Family Dentistry since 2016.
Outside of the office, Melanie loves spending time with her family, cooking, and spending time up north at the cabin.
Amy
Amy joined Friesz Family Dentistry in 2020, bringing over 20 years of dental experience to the team.
She is committed to providing excellent patient care and looks forward to getting to know you! Outside of the office, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading, and running.
Kerry
Kerry is a graduate of Central Lakes College in Brainerd, where she earned her AAS degree in Dental Assisting. She joined Friesz Family Dentistry in 2020 as an office administrator.
On her downtime, Kerry enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons, and their dog, Meeko. Together, they stay active with outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, they also love gathering with friends and family for a bonfire or a good game of cards.
